One man is dead after a shooting Tuesday night on Slater Avenue, the Fayetteville Police Department said.
Officers responded to a reported shooting on the 1800 block of Slater Avenue just after 9:30 p.m., the Police Department said in a release.
When officers arrived they found a man who had been shot. He was taken to an area hospital, where he died of his injuries, police said in a release. On Thursday, a Police Department news releases identified the victim as Damian R. Lee, 26.
The shooting remains under investigation by members of the Police Department’s Homicide Unit.
