Posted

Fort Bragg Child & Youth Services will host its spring sports opening ceremony at 9 a.m. April 22 at the Noncommissioned Officer Academy parade field, according to the Fort Bragg Public Affairs Office.

The ceremony will feature youth participants and recognize volunteers, families and guests for their contributions to the program, according to a news release.

It also will pay tribute to the children of military families for the costs they bear for their parents’ willingness to serve the nation, the release said.

April is the Month of the Military Child, and the week of April 16-22 is Volunteer Appreciation Week.

Spring sports at Fort Bragg include soccer, tee ball, baseball, coach pitch, softball, and track and field. Children ages 4 to 18 may participate in Youth Sports & Fitness programs.
