Investigators with the Fayetteville Police Department say they have located the vehicle they believe was involved in a fatal hit-and-run on Bragg Boulevard Sunday.

The vehicle, a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado, has been seized, the Police Department said in a release Monday night.

Officers were dispatched just after 2 a.m. Sunday to reports of a pedestrian being struck along Bragg Boulevard near the Martin Luther King Jr. Freeway, police said.

Moises Velasquez, 30, of the 800 block of Country Club Drive, was found in the road, police said. Life-saving measures were unsuccessful, and medical personnel pronounced him dead on the scene, police said.

Police said Velasques was struck in the roadway as he walked along Bragg Boulevard.

Police released a photo of a vehicle they believed was involved in the incident.
